Digital Marketing Coordinator

The Digital Marketing Coordinator works directly with the Director of Programs and Events. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of Project Unity marketing, web site and social media. Candidate must have proven experience in marketing, graphic design, website design, and social media platforms. Candidate must have graphics design experience with working knowledge with Adobe Creative Cloud – Illustrator, Photoshop, Spark, Premiere Rush, InDesign, Canva and other graphic platforms. Candidate must have experience with email marketing platforms such as MailChimp. Candidate must have experience in Wordpess and web design. Ideal candidate will need to have a professional demeanor, be detail oriented, have proof reading skills, a selfstarter, proactive thinker, social media savvy, creative and an out of the box thinker, a team player, a strong communicator both written and oral, and a willing attitude and spirit to get the job done.


  • Market and publicize the work of Project Unity through social media, on-line ads, newsletters and event email campaigns.
  • Complete copywriting duties including proof reading and editing content (e.g., for social media posts, comments, digital graphics, digital ads, etc.).
  • Create and manage email and newsletter campaigns, event flyers, e-blasts and online community calendars.
  • Create graphic design elements to supplement any external facing or production-related materials.
  • Work with on-line ad companies to run ad campaigns; manage relationships with companies.
  • Manage social media accounts and content on all platforms; make recommendations and implement plans to optimize social presence across all platforms.
  • Create and maintain content calendars for all social media platforms, email marketing, and other digital marketing channels.
  • Respond to comments, questions, compliments, and complaints on social media.
  • Direct any actions or requests from social media to appropriate Project Unity contact.
  • Manage website (Wordpress site), update page content for programs, event calendar, back-end web site management such as downloading sign up lists, reports, data tracking, and other needs as necessary.
  • Assist with managing subscriber distribution lists in MailChimp.
  • Collaborate with external graphic design teams and media organizations to develop elements for digital marketing campaigns
  • Manage data analysis and complete monthly reporting using web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics.
  • Attend on-site programs and events for live social posting; assist with on-site programs and events, as needed.
  • Perform other marketing/media/graphic duties and needs as required.


  • 3+ years of work experience in Digital MarketingWeb Design, Graphic Design and Social Media management
  • Proficient knowledge of social media applications including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Working knowledge of digital/on-line reputation management and social media presence
  • Proficient skills in Canva, Adobe Creative Suiteother graphic design software, and email marketing applications such as MailChimp 
  • Proficient use of Wordpress for web design
  • Above average knowledge of Frame i.oDropBox, Eventbrite and Microsoft Office Programs
  • Experience working with vendors and external resource organizations
  • Excellent verbal, written communications and grammatical skills
  • Ability to work independently and process information quickly
  • Proactive thinker on tasks and plans for back-up/work-around situations
  • Works well in a fast-paced environment 
  • Manages time efficiently and prioritizes tasks to achieve results 
  • Responds well under pressure to short deadlines and impromptu tasks

Bachelor degree in marketing or communications
