April 2021

Message from Project Unity Founder, Richie Butler

The violence and hate that has been inflicted upon members of our Asian-American community reveals the deeply flawed, false narrative and miseducation that persist in America. We stand with our Asian brothers and sisters to denounce the hate that has manifested itself in these violent attacks. As we fight for racial justice for one group, we must stand up for all groups who have been impacted by racial bias, intolerance and hate. We cannot tolerate this behavior because it is not right. We call forth those better angels in each one of us to do what we know is right.

At Project Unity, we will continue to rally everyone to stand up against these forms of injustice because we need more allies and fewer adversaries in the battle for the soul of America. As Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” We are committed to being part of the solution of weaving out injustice whenever it surfaces. Dialogue, community building, education and empowerment are the pillars upon which we will continue to stand in our efforts to uproot racial hostility.
