North Texas Giving Day – Thank You!

Project Unity is so grateful for everyone who donated to our work on North Texas Giving Day! Thanks to you we raised over $30,000. Your generous support makes a meaningful difference as we continue the "hard work" and "heart work" of racial equity, educating our youth, navigating conversations on race relations and building bridges between the community and law enforcement.

Communities Foundation of Texas’ North Texas Giving Day gives us a chance to introduce our organization to a new audience and raise funds to keep our mission going. Your donation on North Texas Giving Day will continue to make a difference. You can always watch your dollars at work through our community programs and events! We invite you join us soon!

Be sure to follow us on social media to see just how we’ll put your donation to work.

Together We LearnTM – Fall Program

We are excited to deliver our Together We LearnTM program to various public and charter schools this fall. Together We LearnTM is a free educational program that teaches students of driving age how to act and react to law enforcement in traffic and pedestrian stops. Project Unity, in partnership with the National Black Police Association, are committed to providing this life-saving curriculum to students to help fulfill Senate Bill 30 requirements. Special thanks to Sewell Lexus Dallas for providing the vehicles used in the simulation.

Jesuit Preparatory School Social Justice Program

Project Unity is excited to work with Jesuit for a second year as part of the senior class Social Justice Program. This year, we have eleven senior classmen who meet with us weekly to learn about Project Unity, our work in the community, and our partners. Students hear from partners such as the Dallas Police Department and ambassadors like attorney Rob Crain, Crain Brogdon, LLP. Students will also assist with planning a Together We Learn this fall and Together We Dine session in the spring for fellow senior students. The senior class has over 280 young men.

Together We Dine

Project Unity has offered a variety of community and private Together We Dine opportunities during the month of October. We have several private Dines and one virtual community Dine remaining this month. Each Dine experience has offered a safe and non-confrontational environment to have conversations on race, race relations, cultural differences, community relations with law enforcement as well as the role of the church with police and community relations. To learn about how to host a private Dine for your company, church or organization, email us today!

Invesco – Together We Can Partner

Project Unity is partnering with Invesco on its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Task Force initiatives through our Together We Can program. This program provides individuals, corporations, and groups of all kinds the tools to educate, enable and empower a lifestyle of mindfulness and action against racism. Not only will Invesco associates participate in private Together We Dine sessions, but they also receive custom made program wristbands to wear. The wristbands are a statement that you are not silent to racism and that you are part of the solution. Thank you Invesco for being a great supporter and Together We Can partner!
