Together We Dine
Network with a diverse group of Dallas community members at our Together We Dine events. Share a lunch or dinner meal with total strangers as you engage in courageous and safe conversations about race relations, tell your experiences and listen to the stories of your fellow diners.
Led by a trained facilitator at each table, you’ll participate in healthy and structured dialogue, answering questions such as:
- Describe the racial makeup of your community growing up. How did it shape your views on race?
- What is your first memory of racism? How did it affect you?
- What gives you hope about future race relations in America?
By discussing our beliefs and differences over lunch or dinner, we hope that the Together We Dine experience will continue to prove that what unites us is greater than what divides us.
The program is created by Project Unity. Our partner and champion is the Dallas Bar Association, which provides the majority of the program’s facilitators and hosts various dines at the Belo Mansion. We have also received financial support from Walmart, AT&T, and Ludlow Litigation.
Review our upcoming programs for information on Together We Lunch and Dine events and registration details. The events are free to attend. Advance registration is required as these events tend to fill up quickly and move to waiting list status.
If your organization is interested in hosting or partnering in an internal dine, please contact us.
