ABOUT THE JOB
This key part-time senior role will drive Project Unity’s major revenue-generation strategy that focuses on sponsor/donor giving to organization’s signature fundraising annual event (primary) and cultivating major gifts and multi-year giving partners (secondary).

This senior position reports to the Founder/Chief Visionary Officer directly. Maintaining engagement with Board of Directors members and collaborating with other organization leaders on fundraising strategies, goals and revenue achievements will be commonplace. The ideal incumbent will have a proven work history of managing and cultivating existing and new giving partnerships. Eloquent storytelling of Project Unity’s vision and community impact is crucial to success. A strategic thinker possessing a charismatic interpersonal style and a passion to make a meaningful contribution to building bridges across racial divides in our communities will thrive in this role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create strategy and drive organization’s annual signature fundraiser.
  • Develop and lead a major gifts and multi-year engagement and giving plan.
  • Work with executive team to identify fundraising goals and resource needs.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to develop informational and promotional materials that facilitate income generation as part of fundraising responsibilities.
  • Create and deliver compelling story-telling communications and materials that promote Project Unity’s mission, values, community impact and resource needs.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATION AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Genuine passion for Project Unity’s mission
  • 3+ years of fundraising experience preferred
  • High professional and personal desire for achievement
  • Vibrant, adaptive, and sincere interpersonal and social skills
  • Sharp mindfulness to detail
  • Thrives on building new business relationships and expanding supporter networks including skillful, timely follow through with relationships
  • Excellent verbal (public speaking) and written communications skills
  • Decisive and thrives when working independently
  • Self-starter with strategic thinking skills

EDUCATION
Bachelor degree in marketing, sales, communications, business, or related fields

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

  • Part-time (25-30 hours per week)
