Our annual Together We Ball event brings the Dallas community, law enforcement, faith leaders and elected officials together over a mutual love for basketball and the community. The basketball event is held each August in Dallas.
Entertainment includes:
- Headliner Pastors & Police community basketball game
- Family and kids activities such as face painting, coloring stations and balloon artists
- Community shooting competitions including a three-point shootout and old school free throw event
- High school basketball exhibition game featuring local schools
- Concession stands and goody bags
Why Pastors & Police? Why Faith & Law Enforcement?
The event’s headliner game is Pastors & Police (not Pastors vs. Police) to represent unity within the Dallas community. Dallas law enforcement, community and religious leaders play side by side to show that what unites us is greater than what divides us. The event also features a high school game exhibition which showcases talent of high school varsity players from around the metroplex. The beauty of this game is that these students have likely never met or played with or against each other. They come together as a unified team to play a sport that we all love – basketball. The high school game is coached by police officers.
The event is organized by Project Unity. We are proud to have a partnership with the Dallas Mavericks, the Dallas Police Department, DART Police Department, Dallas Independent School District, the State Fair of Texas, and St. Luke Community United Methodist Church.
The family-focused event occurs every August. It is open and free to the community. Parking and admission are free; no tickets required.
